Capturing the excitement and authenticity of this style of travel required something beyond traditional marketing, so Facebook Creative Shop and Executive Producer Joe Killian came together to create an unforgettable live experience on a global scale.

Working with a selection of Airbnb Superhosts around the world, Killian crafted six Experiences that would be broadcast during a 24-hour “day in the life” Facebook Live stream. The team built custom helmet camera rigs for participants, and sent small production units to each city while Killian oversaw the six streams from a control room in L.A. along with director Austin Peters. The end result, called WE ARE HERE, captured millions of views, reactions and comments from adventure-loving travelers, while cementing Airbnb’s status as a true creative disruptor.
